Haunted Colorado – The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park
The Stanley Hotel is famous for its old world charm and ghost stories. It was the original inspiration for Stephen King’s The Shining. You can go on an evening tour to a few darkened spaces to witness the “active” phenomena and spirit folklore surrounding the 100+ year old hotel.
People have said they heard noises that sounded as if people were partying even though the ball room was empty. If you go, book room 401, which is said to be the most haunted.
